For the operating partner

Twelve portcos. Twelve dashboards you don't fully trust.
Thirty hours a year each.

You can't see beneath the metrics your portcos self-report, and you don't have the hours to close the gap company by company. Meanwhile the value-creation thesis your next fund is raised on needs evidence — not "we hire well."

Operator to operator — a conversation about your portfolio, not a demo.

One number across the portfolio company, with the evidence under it: which deals are real, who is coaching, where the quarter moves.

Top-quartile sales managers reached 115% of team targets, bottom-quartile 76%: a $3.5M gap per manager at a $1M quota. Vantage Point Performance, 2016

The structural gap you already feel

You back the thesis, then wait for a self-reported number to tell you whether it's working.

Every portco runs its own CRM, its own definition of pipeline, its own forecast discipline — or none. The metrics roll up to you filtered through the very operators being measured, and the time it would take to verify them, company by company, is time you don't have across a portfolio this size. When a portco misses, you find out late; when one is quietly excellent, you can't yet reproduce why.

And the next fund is raised on a value-creation story. "We select well" is table stakes. What differentiates is evidence of how you make companies better after the check clears — a portfolio-operations capability, not a hiring anecdote.

The leverage isn't another reporting layer you have to chase. It's a common operating system your revenue leaders actually want to run.

How it works across a portfolio

Adopted at the portco. Compounding at the fund.

It isn't a top-down mandate that portco CEOs resent. It's the operating system each revenue leader adopts because it makes their own job easier — and the standard spreads because it earns its place.

At each portco

The revenue leader runs it

The CRO or VP Sales installs the weekly operating rhythm (forecast discipline, coaching cadence, a leadership brief) because it de-risks their own clock — and that is the live product today.

Across the portfolio

One operating language

As portcos adopt, your companies speak the same operating language: the same disciplines, the same brief structure, the same standard — so you're not re-teaching value creation at every board seat.

For the fund

A capability you can point to

Portfolio operations becomes something you can evidence — a repeatable way you make revenue orgs better, and a differentiator for the next raise.

Where it's heading — said plainly

Fund-level rollup and cross-portfolio benchmarking are the direction we're building toward with design-partner funds — not a dashboard we'll pretend ships today. The honest version: the value now is a common operating standard adopted portco by portco; the fund-level observability layer is what a partnership builds toward together. If someone promises you a live cross-portfolio rollup, ask them to show it.

What it means for you

Leverage across the portfolio, without the reporting drag.

Deployment leverage

One playbook, many companies

Your revenue leaders run the same disciplined operating rhythm instead of each reinventing it — so the value-creation motion is repeatable, not personality-dependent.

A next-fund differentiator

Evidence, not anecdote

A portfolio-operations capability you can put in front of LPs: how you make revenue orgs better after the check, backed by a standard rather than a story.

Observability that compounds

Legibility as adoption grows

As portcos run the same surface, each becomes more legible to you — and the fund-level view is the direction the partnership builds toward, honestly staged.

The questions you'll actually ask

Answered the way an operator would answer them.

"What if a portco CEO won't deploy it?"

Then it doesn't get deployed there — by design. It's earned at the portco, not mandated from the fund. The revenue leader adopts it because it makes their own 12-week clock easier. Adoption is company by company, so a holdout never blocks the rest of the portfolio.

"What about data residency and IC confidentiality?"

Each portco's data stays isolated: row-level isolation per workspace, no training on customer data, encrypted in transit and at rest, DPA available. No cross-portco commingling. SOC 2 Type I is targeted for Q4 2026. We'll tell you exactly where it stands.

"What happens when you raise and my fund is 5% of revenue?"

Fair — and it deserves a real answer, not a line. A master agreement fixes your terms regardless of our stage. The durability question is exactly the kind of thing to press a founder on directly, which is why the next step here is a conversation, not a checkout.

Why this is a peer conversation

Built by an operator who scaled the motion
you're trying to reproduce across a portfolio.

Insights, coaching and actions exclusively for the leader — to develop yourself, your team and your business. The same standard, company after company.

How a partnership starts

A conversation, then a proof, then the portfolio.

  1. FirstA founder-to-operator conversation — your portfolio, your value-creation thesis, where the observability gap actually bites.
  2. ThenOne design-partner portco runs it live, so you see the operating rhythm on a real company before anything scales.
  3. ThenA master agreement on your terms, rolled out portco by portco as revenue leaders adopt it.
  4. TermsFund-level terms are a conversation, not a checkout — sized to the portfolio, fixed for the hold.
